FAQs

Weddings

  • You’ll fill in a short form with information on your big day and your dream stationery. You’ll then consult together with Emily to ensure she really understands your vision, and will be able to suggest the pieces that could work for you, as well as an estimate on prices. To secure your space, a 50% retainer is required. Then, it is all about bringing your suite to life!

    More here

  • The sweet spot is around 6–9 months before your wedding (or a little over a year if you’re sending save-the-dates or hosting an overseas wedding) so there is plenty of time for dreaming, designing, and printing without any rush.

If you’re on a shorter timeline, don’t worry, but the earlier you enquire, the more creative freedom (and peace of mind) you’ll have.

  • Emily would love to give you a neat price list, but because every piece is hand-painted and made just for you, the investment varies depending on the items you choose, the paper and printing methods, and the level of detail.

There is a minimum fee of £500 for an invitation or save-the-date card, and couples opting for a full service of before the day pieces could typically invest anywhere from £1,500-£3,000.

  • Not very much at all - just the basics of your wedding (the date, location, vibe) and any ideas you already love. You don’t need a fully-formed vision, as that’s what you’ll shape in the process.

A few photos, Pinterest saves, or even a sentence about how you want the day to feel is enough for me to begin shaping ideas. A great question to ask yourself is, ‘how do I want my guests to feel when they look at my wedding stationery’?

  • Yes! While many couples love the cohesion of a full suite, it’s still just as fun to have a single standout piece - whether that’s just your illustrated invitation, a map for your guests, or a venue portrait.

  • Templates can be beautiful, but bespoke stationery is an entirely different experience. It’s not just about looking pretty - it’s about capturing your story in every detail.

From a hand-painted crest to a tiny illustration of your venue, each element creates the whole mood of your celebrations. Your stationery sets the tone for your guests, and bespoke ensures it feels like no one else’s wedding but yours.

Commissions

  • Emily specialises in hand-painted watercolours, with a particular love for capturing buildings, venues, and meaningful places.

Alongside these, past commissions have also brought to life sporting moments, family memories, and even treasured possessions like vintage cars and favourite keepsakes.

If you have something special in mind, Emily will explore how to turn it into a one-of-a-kind artwork.

  • Because each piece is painted by hand, commissions can be completed over the course of a few days or weeks, depending on the complexity of the work.

Please let Emily know if you’re working with a tight deadline or for a special occasion - there's usually some wiggle room in the diary!

  • Prices vary depending on size, subject, and level of detail. As a guide, a small cottage portrait could start at £200, while larger or more detailed chapel could start at £300. A clear quote will be provided before we beginning so you know exactly what to expect.

  • Absolutely! Emily can also lend her expertise to other projects from logos, to branding, to special events.

  • Yes! Building & map projects are great ways to add a personal touch to your branding, but it doesn’t have to stop there.
